Kuala Lumpur Conquered!
Friday, January 12, 2007

Date/ Day: Friday, January 12, 2007 (1st Day)

Get to walk out yesterday, since todae, i'll be joinin a group of Coast Guardian for a KL trip. Reached Seah Im Interchange at around 0745hr.
At 0850hr, we board the bus that was goin to bring us to Tuas Chckpoint. What surprised me is how hassle free the system is, all you need to do is just scan your passport and present you thumbprint to be scan, afta that you are done. Afta goin thur the customs at Malaysia, I was assigned to Coach 8, my tour guide, Uncle Ramli.
It took us 6 hour to reached KL, including the stop at Yong Peng. Our first destination at KL was the KLCC. We reached there at around 3pm. Realising that there was A&W in the tower, we 'attacked' the food outlet. While munching on my burger, I was thinking; How Singaporean have missed A&W. After filing our stomach, we were taken to our Hotel at Bukit Bintang Street. Name of hotel, Federal Hotel, a 4 star hotel.
After settling down, we left our room and make our way to Petaling street. We took the local transport to get there, the KL LRT. It cost us around RM2.40 only. One thing I could say about those commuters is that, they are more courtesy than us, Singaporeans.Like us, once the train have stop at the station, all those boarding will be crowding infront of the door, same goes for those alighting. But in Malaysia, the commuters queue up to get into the train, at the same time allowing those alighting to go out easily.
We spend 1 and half hour, walking around the night market at petaling street. Unlike, some of my frends, I only bought myself a bermudas for myself. Guess I'm a bit chosey and stingy. With all of our legs aching, we took a cab back to our hotel. After having our dinner at the hotel, while the rest went to Zouk, a few of of us, including me, went to Starbuck to lepak.
