Since 30th December 2005
Recently, about 16,000 foreigners come down to Singapore. It was even estimated that, the amount was much more than the initial estimation, which is 16,000. This foreigners were actually ministers, vice- president, president, press and the civil society organisation. The meeting was held from the 11th September to 21st September 2006.
As for me(Hakim), since I was a trainee Police Officer, I was deployed for this Gala Event. The task given to me was, Security Desk. Well what I'm supposed to do was to guard the VIP room, to prevent an intruders from entering the VIP room. For a start here's my working schedule.
Friday- 2nd Shift (7pm to 7am, Saturday Morning)
Sunday- 1st Shift (9am to 9pm)
Monday- 1st Shift (9am to 9pm)
Tuesday- 1st Shift (9am to 9pm)
Wednesday- 1st Shift (9am to 9pm)
Thursday- 1st Shift (9am to 9pm)
Well, from the look of it, there was no Off day given to me, except on the last day which is on the 22nd September 2006. So chiong all the way lor...
On the first day, I was deployed to 'Raffles the Plaza'. First priority for that day, guard the VIP room. For a start everything went smoothly, but as the hours past by, one by one start to feel 'sian'. All of us can't wait to go home and have a nice rest. While waiting for the hours to past by, we managed to have a look into one of the rooms. The first reaction was, 'Wow!'. How I wish I could stay in the room. Finally, after spending 12hrs in the hotel, we are on our way back.
Then from Sunday onwards, I was deployed to 'Marina Mandarin Hotel'. Nothing unusual happen while I'm on duty over there, Alhamdulillah. Everyday, work up at 0530hrs. Leave home by 0630hrs.
Reached Clementi NPC by 0730hrs
Draw arms leave for Marina Mandarin
Arrived at the hotel by 0830hrs
Leave Hotel at 2110hrs
Arrived at Clementi NPC to return arms by 2130
Arrived home by 2300hrs
Well thats' what I've been doing for the past few days. Chiong all the way man. Finally, afta 5 days of none stop work, I managed to get my well deserved rest, on Friday. Yahoo! Below are some views I have taken from Marina Mandarin Hotel....
